• What is weather?         The day-to-day meteorological conditions especially temperature cloudiness and rainfall affecting a specific place is called weather.
• What is climate?        The climate is the permanent temperature condition of a country.
• What is a season?        A season is the period of a particular weather condition.
• Which are the seasons?        Internationally, the seasons are four:- Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.
• What are the climatic zones?        The climatic zones are the torrid (hot) zone, the temperature zone and the frigid (cold) zone.
• How are winds formed?        The winds are formed as the result of air moving from areas of high pressure to areas of low pressure.
• Name some of the cloud formations:        Cirrus, Cirrocumulus, Altocumulus, Stratus, Cumulas, Cumulonimbus.
• Which is the hottest place in the world?        Dallol, Ethiopia, where the annual mean temperature is 34.4 degree C.
