Temple operations are as per daily published schedule till Ulsavam starts on 20th Nov 2003 Ulsvam starts with  Kodiyettam. Till Ulsvam finishes with Arattu,  temple's regular  schedule is disrupted because it has to follow many rituals as a part of Ulsavam

Ulsavam starts on 20th Nov 2003 and will last till 29th Nov  2003. Arattu is on 29th Nov  2003. 

Durig the Ulsavam days, Neyyabhishekam will be from 0500 hrs till around  1200 hrs.

On Arattu day, as the symbolic idol leaves the temple for Pampa, the temple will be closed for the  whole day. On Arattu day, Neyyabhishekam is only from 0500 am till around 0700 am. After the symbolic idol returns to the temple on 29th Nov 2003 late evening, the schedule reverts to normal till Mandala Pooja on 27th December 2003. 

After Mandala Pooja, the temple will remain closed from 27th December 2003( 2200 hrs) till 01st January 2004 (1730 hrs).

Routine schedule will be restored from 01st January 2004. Makara Vilakku is on 14th January 2004. All schedules will be normal till 18th January 2004.

During this festive season, thousands of Neyyabhishekams would have been performed and the idol gets heated up. In order to cool the idol, a Kalabhabhishekam is performed on 18th January 2004 at 1200 hrs. After that there will no Neyyabhishekam. The temple closes on 20th January 2004 (0700 hrs or so when representatives of Pandalam Maharajah have the exclusive rights to worship at the temple and take over the temple keys after the temple is closed)..

Going up and down the holy 18 steps (or Pathinettampadi will not be possible after 19th night).
